My name is Holly. Welcome to my home page. I'm a self-taught programmer of almost 20 years who is Deaf, neurodivergent, 65% nonbinary, 35% transgender, and 110% opinionated. What a shock! 💋

Most of my real-world programming experience is with PHP, C#, Python, MSSQL, and Docker Engine. For most of my career, I have worked by contract as a programmer and general IT person for several small businesses. Nowadays, I program for fun at an extremely slow pace because I accidentally burnt out and no longer enjoy programming for others.

For hobbies, I am teaching myself GDScript and Rust. I also like to host my own server infrastructure. My current homelab is a repurposed gaming computer from 2015 that has been a server since 2020. It replaced a 12 year old Intel Atom netbook that sadly couldn't keep up with my needs. In 2023, I moved the hardware into a 4U server chassis to make it official. For simplicity's sake, this website is hosted by Hetzner. The software stack is almost entirely Rust-based, with only the reverse proxy (Caddy) written in Go. I aim to keep it that way, as this will (hopefully) force me to learn Rust.
